Bruno Mars, Tyla & Carcass lead an action-packed week of NZ tour announcements
A massive week of tour news sees global superstars Bruno Mars and Tyla confirm a joint date at Eden Park. Metal fans also have plenty to look forward to with Carcass headlining Galatos. From established international acts to local favourites like Bic Runga and Beastwars, check out the latest venues and dates hitting the calendar for the coming months.
The live music scene in Aotearoa has seen a flurry of announcements this week, with some massive names locking in dates for 2026 and 2027. The biggest news is undoubtedly the joint show from Bruno Mars and Tyla, who are set to take over Eden Park in March 2027. It is set to be one of the highlights of the summer season.
For those preferring a heavier sound, the legendary death metal outfit Carcass will be bringing their intense live show to Galatos this October. It is a rare chance to catch such an influential band in an intimate setting. Also on the heavier side, local sludge metal icons Beastwars have announced a show in Wellington, and fans of hard rock can look forward to seeing The Angels at The Powerstation early next year.
We have a diverse range of artists touring throughout the country. KALEO is heading to The Civic for a blues-rock masterclass in February, while Bic Runga is playing a show in Wellington this September. If you are into electronic music, the solo project Silicon is also performing in the capital, and Close Counters are set to bring their fusion of house and jazz to the Tuning Fork.
A few notable tribute and specialty acts have also popped up on the schedule. While they do not command the same stadium-level pull as the major acts, High Voltage will be channelling their inner AC/DC in the Manawatū region, and fans of Italo Disco can catch Savage in Wellington.
