Squeeze and ABC announce major New Zealand tour dates for 2027

Legendary UK pop acts Squeeze and ABC lead a massive week of tour announcements. Squeeze head to The Powerstation in April 2027, while ABC are set to play The Civic and St James Theatre in March. The schedule also features a heavy metal showcase at Big Fan and indie circuit runs from Rowena Wise and Soft Bait NZ.

The concert calendar for 2027 is filling up fast with two icons of the 80s confirming their return to Aotearoa. Squeeze will be performing at The Powerstation in Auckland on 13 April, bringing their classic songbook to one of the city's best live venues. Not to be outdone, ABC have locked in two dates for March 2027, hitting The Civic in Auckland on the 4th before heading down to the St James Theatre in Wellington on the 7th.

Fans of heavier sounds have plenty to look forward to this coming year. Doom metal veterans Trouble are slated for a show at darkroom in Christchurch on 21 August 2026, while local legends Enshrine take the stage at Auckland's UFO on 20 August. There is also a significant lineup building for 29 August at Big Fan, with Dredge, Parasitic Infestation, and Soul Void all appearing on the same bill.

For those tracking the indie and folk circuit, it is shaping up to be a busy stretch. Rowena Wise is embarking on a comprehensive tour through late September and early October, hitting Kerikeri, Auckland, Raglan, Oakura, and Wellington. Meanwhile, Soft Bait NZ will be taking their post-punk sound to Auckland, Hamilton, Lyttelton, and Dunedin.

Rounding out the list of recent announcements:

  • Tom Francis performs at Rimu Wine Bar in Mapua on 8 August 2026.
  • Grace Petrie brings her folk set to the Tuning Fork in Auckland on 18 March 2027.
  • Aslan and Dave Wilson share the stage at Cuba St Tavern on 30 July 2026.
  • The Weather Machine and Rowena Wise continue to build momentum with club shows in Wellington.
  • Gurnam Bhullar will be appearing at the BNZ Theatre in Hamilton on 9 August 2026.
  • No Exit Band play The Junction Hotel in The Coromandel on 25 September 2026.

Whether you are after international synth-pop or local underground metal, there is plenty of live music hitting our stages over the next year. Keep an eye on venue websites for ticket releases.
