Isaiah Rashad, BENEE, Madness & Empire of the Sun Announce NZ Tours

This week brings a massive wave of tour announcements. Headliners include Isaiah Rashad at The Powerstation, BENEE performing at the Coroglen Tavern, and the iconic Madness hitting arena stages. Empire of the Sun, Ronan Keating, and Bachman-Turner Overdrive are also set to tour, alongside a host of tribute acts and local performances appearing across venues from Auckland to Christchurch.

It has been a significant week for live music fans with a flurry of tour announcements covering everything from hip-hop heavyweights to ska legends. Isaiah Rashad leads the charge, heading to Auckland’s Powerstation in February 2027. Fans of homegrown pop have plenty to look forward to as well, with BENEE confirmed to play the Coroglen Tavern in late December.

The arena circuit is looking particularly busy. Madness will bring their signature ska sound to Spark Arena and Wolfbrook Arena in March 2027, while Empire of the Sun prepares for a high-energy return to Spark Arena in February. For those who prefer a classic pop sound, Ronan Keating has locked in dates for both Christchurch and Auckland, and Bachman-Turner Overdrive will deliver a dose of classic rock at the Auckland Town Hall.

A number of notable shows across the country include:

  • Max McNown – Auckland and Christchurch, February 2027
  • Lee Mvtthews – Whitianga, January 2027
  • Yurt Party – Christchurch, October 2026
  • Sulfate – Invercargill and Christchurch, October 2026

The week also saw several tribute and cover-act announcements. While these provide a fun night out, remember that they offer a different experience to the original artists. Keep an eye out for 'Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon' at the Stardome Observatory, a 'Back to the 80s Dance Party' at A Rolling Stone, and tribute shows featuring the music of Goodnight Nurse and Stan Walker.

From smaller club gigs like Christoph El Truento at Whammy and Utilize The Remains in Christchurch, to the larger arena spectacles, there is a wide variety of music hitting our shores in the coming months. Make sure to check local venue listings to secure your tickets early.
