PARTY, Hellogoodbye & Kittie headline a massive week of tour announcements
International acts lead the charge this week with PARTY, Hellogoodbye, Kittie, and The Early November confirming New Zealand shows. Electronic fans can look forward to Camo & Krooked and Kanine, while folk outfit The Longest Johns and Turkish rock group Model round out a diverse selection of upcoming live music events across the country.
The local live scene is looking sharp following a busy week of tour announcements. Leading the pack, PARTY are set to bring their indie rock energy to Auckland’s Mr Murdoch’s this September, while Hellogoodbye and The Early November have confirmed a double-billing of alternative and pop-punk nostalgia at Wellington’s San Fran for early 2027.
Metal fans have plenty to be excited about as well, with Kittie locking in an Auckland date at Neck of the Woods. If you’re looking for something heavier, Nightshade will be hitting Superfina in Wellington, and Home Invasion are set to bring their brand of hardcore to Thistle Hall.
The drum and bass community is particularly well-catered for, with a stacked bill heading to Christchurch’s Wolfbrook Arena. Expect high-octane sets from Camo & Krooked, Kanine, Hedex, Mozey, Simula, and DISRUPTA. For those preferring a different vibe, the folk tradition is alive and well with The Longest Johns playing the James Hay Theatre in Christchurch, and the Turkish rock group Model embarking on a wide-reaching tour that takes them from Auckland down to Whanganui.
We also saw announcements for tribute and conceptual shows this week. Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon will take over the Stardome Observatory & Planetarium, and The Psychedelic Mixtape will also grace the Stardome stage shortly after. While these aren't original acts, they offer a specific experience for fans of those classic sounds.
Rounding out the list of recent bookings, keep an eye out for performances from Friends, Australian Crawl, Grove, Rhythm, Sing, sloer, Afro Jazz, Planet Hunter, Live Lounge, Charlie B, Eurydice, Marmablade, A Night To Dismember, Battleska Galactica, Sulfate, and Beth Torrance as they hit various venues across the regions in the coming months.
