The Dandy Warhols & The Beths lead an action-packed week of tour announcements

Kiwi fans have plenty to look forward to as The Dandy Warhols lock in a date at The Powerstation, while local favourites The Beths head to Hollywood Avondale. Alongside these major indie rock bookings, international acts like D-A-D and a diverse range of local talent have just added new gigs to the calendar for the coming year.

It has been a massive week for live music announcements in Aotearoa, headlined by two of the biggest names in the indie rock scene. The Dandy Warhols are set to bring their signature power pop sound to Auckland’s The Powerstation on November 27, 2026. Not to be outdone, our very own The Beths have confirmed a much-anticipated show at the Hollywood Avondale on September 15, 2026, promising their usual mix of sharp melodic hooks and high-energy performances.

For those who prefer a harder edge, Danish rockers D-A-D have scheduled a date at the Tuning Fork in Auckland for March 9, 2027. Meanwhile, Louis Baker is taking a more extensive route, with a national tour hitting Dunedin, Queenstown, Wanaka, Napier, Auckland, and Lyttelton throughout October 2026.

If you are after something a bit more atmospheric, the Stardome Observatory & Planetarium is hosting a unique double-header on August 26, 2026, featuring The Psychedelic Mixtape and a tribute performance of Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of the Moon. While these shows offer a great experience, keep in mind they are specialised sessions rather than original band tours.

The club scene is also looking busy. Bootleg Rascal are hitting the road for three dates across Wellington, Auckland, and Queenstown this December. Other notable upcoming shows include:

  • Teeth – Pyramid Club, Wellington (September 11, 2026)
  • Datura – Last Place, Hamilton (October 23, 2026)
  • Wet Denim – Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland (September/October 2026)
  • Sumi Jo – Auckland Town Hall (October 7, 2026)
  • Ash Grunwald – Te Raukura ki Kapiti (November 18, 2026)
  • Omnipotent Youth Society – The Powerstation, Auckland (November 1, 2026)

From the heavy riffs of Datura and STACKED to the soulful vibes of Rhythm and Taxi, there is truly something for everyone in this latest round of gig confirmations. Check your local venue listings and get your tickets sorted early.
