The Replacements, Thaiboy Digital & Igorrr Announce NZ Tour Dates
A massive week of tour announcements sees The Replacements and Thaiboy Digital set for Auckland, while the eclectic Igorrr will bring their experimental sound to the Tuning Fork. Fat Freddy's Drop also add two intimate summer shows in Nelson. These major acts, alongside a busy local circuit including Reb Fountain and Surf Trash, highlight a packed upcoming calendar for music fans across Aotearoa.
Live music in New Zealand continues to gain momentum with a wave of international and local tour announcements. Leading the charge are American alternative legends The Replacements, who have confirmed an Auckland date at DFlat this October. They share the spotlight this week with Swedish trap icon Thaiboy Digital, who is locked in for a performance at The Studio later in November.
For those seeking something more experimental, the genre-defying Igorrr has announced an Auckland show at the Tuning Fork early next year, bringing their signature mix of breakcore and metal to the stage. Meanwhile, local favourites Fat Freddy's Drop continue to prove their enduring appeal with two summer performances at Neudorf Vineyards in Nelson, set for mid-January 2027.
The local touring circuit remains equally robust. Reb Fountain has mapped out a comprehensive national run, stopping in Hamilton, Gisborne, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Queenstown, and Auckland throughout October. Alongside these marquee names, we have seen dates drop for a variety of touring acts, including the energetic Surf Trash hitting Queenstown, Lyttelton, and Auckland, and the return of Benjamin Clementine at The Opera House in Wellington.
The club and independent venue scene is also heating up, with appearances scheduled for acts such as Aslan at the Cuba St Tavern, Siren at The Undercurrent, and By Design at Christchurch's darkroom. Christchurch also sees Slim and The Response playing Space Academy in September.
It is worth noting for ticket buyers that while the calendar is filling up, there is a mix of high-profile international tours and smaller-scale shows. Whether you are catching the established sounds of Fat Freddy's Drop or exploring newer additions to the circuit like Extra Lives or Zoe Moon, it is a good time to keep an eye on ticket releases as these venues vary significantly in capacity.
