Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Courtney Barnett & More Announce NZ Tours
A massive week for live music as legends Ben Harper and Jack Johnson confirm Auckland and Waipara dates. Indie favourite Courtney Barnett, electronic pioneer Gary Numan, and pop sensation Conan Gray have also locked in shows. From the big arenas to the Town Hall, here is the full breakdown of the latest concert announcements hitting our shores.
The concert calendar has received a significant boost this week with a string of major international acts locking in Aotearoa dates. Leading the charge are Ben Harper and Jack Johnson, who are teaming up for a massive run hitting Spark Arena in Auckland on 20 November 2026, followed by an intimate setting at the Waipara Winehouse on 22 November.
For those chasing indie-rock credentials, Courtney Barnett has announced shows in Hamilton at the BNZ Theatre and a headline performance at the Auckland Town Hall’s Great Hall. The Town Hall is also set to host a diverse range of talent, including Chet Faker on 12 September, Hiatus Kaiyote on 4 September, and Ashnikko on 16 September. Suzanne Vega brings her classic songbook to the Great Hall on 10 September, while Oliver Tree takes over the venue on 6 October.
Spark Arena remains the hub for the heavy-hitters. Conan Gray plays there on 26 September, followed by Noah Kahan for two nights on 9 and 10 October. Later in the year, Avenged Sevenfold will be joined by Coheed and Cambria and Thornhill for a heavy triple-header on 23 October. The punk energy of Dropkick Murphys and Rise Against hits the arena on 24 November, while J. Cole performs back-to-back shows on 5 and 6 December. Closing out the year in style, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer will share the stage on 13 December.
The tour announcements stretch into 2027, with Bryson Tiller booked for 27 January. February sees a massive return for new wave icons Gary Numan and Simple Minds, both playing Spark Arena on 25 February. FKJ will also bring his unique soul sound to the Auckland Town Hall on 20 February.
