Arlo Parks, Koop, Social Distortion, Jack Johnson & Ben Harper announce shows
A massive week for live music fans as Arlo Parks, Koop, Social Distortion, Ben Harper, and Jack Johnson confirm Aotearoa dates. From indie soul at San Fran to punk rock at Whammy, there is something for everyone this year. We also have details on local star Aldous Harding’s national tour and a packed schedule of shows hitting venues from Auckland to Dunedin.
It has been a busy week for tour announcements across Aotearoa. Leading the charge is British singer-songwriter Arlo Parks, who is set to bring her distinctive indie-soul sound to Wellington's San Fran on May 10, 2026. For those after something more atmospheric, the Swedish electronic jazz duo Koop will perform at the Auckland Guide Hall on May 9.
Punk rock royalty Social Distortion are making a welcome return, heading to Auckland’s Public Bar (Whammy) on May 7. If you are looking for a more laid-back vibe, the triple-threat run of Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, and John Butler will be hitting Spark Arena in Auckland and The Waipara Winehouse later in November 2026.
New Zealand’s own Aldous Harding has also confirmed an extensive national run. She will perform in Hamilton, Christchurch, Auckland, and Wellington throughout late November. Meanwhile, fans of math rock should look out for Delta Sleep and Plini, both of whom have shows lined up for August.
Other notable upcoming gigs include:
- The Rions: Touring Wellington and Lyttelton this week.
- HighSchool: Playing Auckland's Whammy Bar on May 10.
- Mim Jensen: Kicking off shows at Whammy Bar and Space Academy.
- Foley: Hitting Christchurch and Auckland stages.
- Micronism: Bringing electronic beats to The Great Hall in Wellington.
Please note that Regurgitator Auckland, Jim E. Brown (UK), and Public Image Ltd have also locked in dates, though fans should remain aware that smaller tribute acts or local cover groups may be appearing at some of these venues throughout the season. Keep an eye on local venue listings to stay up to date as the year progresses.
