The Pharcyde Wellington

About this show

Few groups have had a greater impact on alternative hip hop than The Pharcyde. Emerging from South Central Los Angeles in the early '90s, they rewrote the rules with their wit, originality and unmistakable chemistry, delivering two of the most influential albums of the era. From the platinum-selling Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde to the genre-defining Labcabincalifornia, classics like Passin' Me By, Runnin', Drop, Otha Fish and Ya Mama continue to inspire generations of artists and remain essential listening more than 30 years later. The Pharcyde's legacy extends far beyond their own catalogue. They helped open the door for a more playful, soulful and inventive style of hip hop, collaborated with a then-emerging J Dilla, worked with visionary director Spike Jonze, and proved that creativity could be just as powerful as bravado. Their influence can still be heard across modern hip hop, while their timeless live show continues to win over audiences around the world. Featuring Imani, Slimkid3, Fatlip and DJ Cee Brown, this is your chance to experience one of hip hop's defining groups live. Secure your tickets early and don't miss the opportunity to see true pioneers of alternative hip hop when they return this December.
