About this show
This Sunday presents Alex Trask!Local saxophonist Alex Trask presents original music from his various projects, including a recent recording, his first album, and the Lighthouse Trio setlist. Inspired by folk music from around the world and infused with jazz performance practice, these tunes have a simplicity in common. Free improvised sections contrast carefully arranged melodies, allowing creativity and structure to coexist. The fiddle-esque melodies and straightforward harmonies create an open and inviting sound that changes depending on the musicians on stage. Hiding amongst these tunes will be some swing compositions and arrangements of favourite melodies.Personnel:Alex Trask - saxophoneTheo Thompson - guitarJacob Hurst - bassSunday Oct 25Doors 3pmMusic 3:30pm$15Tickets available online and at the door!As always, we are selling a range of refreshing drinks! We still have our complimentary cheese crackers (we put the cheese on the crackers so you don’t have to do it) and tea and coffee, and of course...books available for purchase. We hope to see you there! ⭐️
