Blending retro pop and folk-rock, with introspective lyrics and crisp melodies, Just Janie transports audiences to the golden warmth of the sixties and seventies. “If you find yourself… daydreaming about Laurel Canyon, it might be the perfect time for Just Janie” - Spinoff, NZ‘Mythology of the Girls’ marks a new era. An ode to nostalgia, and inspired by the folk scene in California's sixties and seventies, Janie began questioning the rose tinted perspective or an era that shaped the music she loved and silenced women’s voices. Now, she brings these songs to life on stage.Known for her mesmerising live performances, Just Janie has been described as an artist who “made me laugh, cry, and fall in love on the first song” — David Milligan, Ōtautahi.
