Alex Trask Electric Quartet

About this show

Local saxophonist Alex Trask presents a brand new electric ensemble! The band will play original music from his various projects, reinterpreting songs that have until now only been been heard acoustically. Inspired by folk music from around the world and infused with jazz performance practice, these tunes create an open and inviting sound that changes depending on the musicians on stage. Featuring the mercurial sounds of electric bass and Rhodes piano contrasted with the warmth of the saxophone. Hiding amongst these tunes will be some swing compositions and arrangements of favourite melodies.
